Lime chloride is used for disinfection of livestock buildings, warehouses with raw materials of animal origin, drinking and waste water, slurry, wagons after transporting livestock in them. It is used dry, in the form of clarified solutions and aqueous suspensions. The disinfecting effect of bleach is due to the presence of active chlorine and the ability to release oxygen when interacting with many substances.
